It’s that time of year again when people are out and about enjoying the long summer days. They are at the beach, at local parks, and other places doing all kinds of activities. If you don’t have that many friends or can’t find some classes, you still have to get out there and do it. Start with walking, around the neighborhood, down to the park each day, whatever it takes. Break out that bike that’s been collecting dust in the garage and make friends with it again.
Another step is to change your diet. This doesn’t mean you have to diet, because who can stick to one? The idea is to change your eating habits and adopt more healthy choices. It starts with eating a healthy breakfast. Many people skip this most important meal of the day. Even eating a piece of fruit, or having a bowl of good cereal with low fat milk gives you the energy you need to get the day started. If you are finding that you are hungry later in the evening, you may have to change from eating three large meals a day to five or six smaller meals instead. Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, and less greasy processed foods. Skip the fast food restaurants, and cook meals yourself instead. This are just some of the things you can do.
